This mobile app has been implemented but has never been released officially. The following contents have to be considered exclusively as an exercise in style.
With AR.TE, the Armando Testa Group wants to give anyone the chance to visit virtually the historic Palace of Communication, the headquarters of the agency in Turin. But there is something more.
The app is accessible all over the world, but the special thing is that it allows those who physically enter the building to interact with the artworks inside. This happens thanks to the beacons: devices that transmit information to smartphones via Bluetooth. They are fixed to the masterpieces realized by Armando Testa that are inside the ground floor. Beacons can send a wide range of contents to those who move close to works having downloaded the app AR.TE.
The users who aren’t in the building can instead discover Armando Testa’s masterpieces by clicking on the icons in the home page. This page layout reflects the structure of the ground floor of the agency.
Searching the name of the app, the purpose was to find something focused on the artistic side of Armando Testa’s personality. This aspect of the historical figure of the advertiser is one of the main themes of the project. The result of this reasoning is the acronym AR.TE, that can be translated in English with AR.T. It explains the artistic approach to the adv that characterized Armando Testa and, at the same time, it puts together the first two letters of his name and of his surname.
Another very interesting part of the creation of this app has been the organization and the writing of the contents in the various sections, because I had the opportunity to go deeper in the history of the great works realized by Armando Testa.
